The product
STUDiPACK is an innovative solution that combines functionality and sustainability, designed for children and youth who lack access to school or attend school but lack an ergonomic place to read and write.
STUDiPACK is made from discarded workwear, including materials provided by our partner Elis Laundry Service. The backpack is made with over 80% recycled materials, making it an eco-friendly solution.
With STUDiPACK, children can gain more study hours, and they are not hindered from continuing their learning, whether the school is far away, lacking in resources, or if society is shut down due to war or crisis. The ability to study more hours per day maximizes STUDiPACK’s potential to help children absorb knowledge wherever and whenever they need it. Children who learn to read and write increase their chances of independence as adults.
STUDiPACK is made in Sweden and is distributed through partnerships with organisations to ensure the backpacks reach the children who need them most.
How does STUDiPACK work?
The backpack and desk together weigh approximately 1 kg, making it easy to carry even when children have a long distance to school. It’s perfect for use on the floor, in bed, or outdoors. Its unique design includes an integrated blackboard, making it ideal for both studying and creativity.
The design also features an solar powered lamp, allowing children to study even when it’s dark outside, and there is no access to electricity or other lighting.
- Carried as a backpack

- Blackboard for writing
- Lamp for extended study hours
The world is in a global education crisis.
“Over 600 million children and young people worldwide cannot read or solve basic math problems. 244 million children are not attending school as a result of the pandemic, wars, disasters, reduced investments, and a deteriorating economy for families around the world. Poverty is one of the main reasons children are deprived of education, and girls are particularly vulnerable. In most cases, poor families are more likely to invest in the education of boys than girls.” (Source: www.unicef.se October 2023)
Knowledge makes a difference.
By learning to read, people can understand how societies function. This, in turn, enables them to seek better jobs and take care of themselves and their families. STUDiPACK helps more people gain the opportunity to learn to read and write.
